Analizando los resultados del pasado Campeonato Escolar Andaluz la selección granadina se sitúa en primera posición por provincias con holgura, han sido ocho títulos en sus diferentes categorías, cinco de ellos para Motril; así como numerosos ajedrecistas que han puntuado por estar arriba en las clasificaciones finales. Lo que da una idea de la buena salud que tiene nuestro ajedrez, fruto del trabajo que se está realizado en todos los aspectos. Las clasificaciones totales por provincias fue la siguiente:
